Exciting Changes at Carmen Woods!

Our brand is currently going through some exciting changes! Here’s our news regarding the next few months. New Clothing Collection To complement our beautiful handbag and accessory collections, we are soon launching our clothing range. The new designs will show off our stunning digital prints and gorgeous couture techniques on a wearable modern collection. New Phone/Tablet Skin Range In addition to this we are also launching our phone/tablet skin range. Twelve of our printed designs will be available to fit over an extensive variety of phones and tablets. Change of Premises As you already probably know Saturday March 30th is the final day in our current shop premises at 121 Broadway West, Leigh-on-Sea. We will be continuing online at www.carmenwoods.com for the next few months and we will be moving to another location based in Leigh-on-Sea towards the end of summer. We will keep you updated of the exact location via Face Book and our website. New Brands For our website and upcoming boutique we are looking to add products by other labels to give our customers the full shopping experience. We are currently investigating fashion and lifestyle products that we feel have design excellence. Watch this space for more info!

Change of Boutique for ‘Carmen’

As you may already know we are just about to launch a clothing range to add to our gorgeous handbag collection. Unfortunately in our current boutique we do not have enough space to show all our new designs. Therefore on 30th March our ‘Carmen’ boutique will be closing for the short term until we find the right space in Leigh-on-Sea to fit our lovely new collection. As soon as we have found our new boutique space, we’ll let you know via our website and will put an announcement in the local papers. We are also planning an exciting new clothing launch and catwalk show to coincide with the boutique opening. We expect to have a new premises during the summer but will keep you all posted! We are having a few drinks on 30th March at our ‘Carmen’ boutique in Broadway West to celebrate the great times we’ve enjoyed at our current location and to toast exciting new times. We’d love you all to join us!

London Fashion Week Report

Our assistant Hannah Hamlin went along to London Fashion Week earlier this month! Here's her report on Autumn/Winter '13 trends to watch out for. Next season looks to be exciting if February’s ‘London Fashion Week’ is anything to go by! Styles ranged from Asian culture, girly child-play and Sports Luxe; key trends emerged as kimono shapes, fire breathing dragons, pastels colours and embellishments. An essential trend to watch out for is slick, monochromatic tailoring as seen at Zoe Jordan and Christophe Lemaire. One thing for sure, print is here to stay. Bright colours and repeat patterns were shown on simple, classic shapes. There was lots of oversizing and neat finishings, with House of Holland pioneering this bold trend for Autumn/Winter ‘13. Next season is set to be a greatly assorted and sensational season with a huge clash of styles, colours and shapes; something gorgeous for everyone!
